Remember selected row after edit/insert

I would like to know if there is a way to select or highlight last inserted or updated row when redirecting to list after edit/view/add form. Users scroll through large database items in list. When they decide to edit one of them, in save and go back to list or cancel they would like to return to list view with this row selected. Thanks in advance!
