edit field not working when modified

good day, i just want to modify edit field using

callback_edit_field

and then i change it with no error, but i noticed it doesn't fetch data from the selected data to be edited. And when i revert to normal, it fetches all the selected data to be edited. Actually, i use AppUI 2.1 bootstrap theme. Any help will much appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)
