Grocery Crud does not work when config is set to compress_output is true

When I set compress output to true I receive an error Content Encoding Error. As my main site uses it I can't just get rid of it to add in using grocery crud for an admin area. Is there a fix for this problem?

What compression you use? where and what error u get like?

Default compression in code igniter. This is the simple config.php option that exists in the codeigniter files.
