Neat solution for adding buttons (content) to the form's header section

Hi,

 

Is there a neat manner to add extra content (I want to add a filter buttons per year) in the <div class="header-tools"> at the beginning of the CRUD form?

I hacked it into the browser, just to show how I want it to be  :) (see attachment)
