According to this topic /topic/1262-order-by-works-only-for-one-column-at-a-time/  in datatables order by not work! So any solutions?

Well my friend - sorry to disappoint u but the datatables have that limitation ...

u might set the order by in the $crud ...

but u might loose it immediately as the list gets loaded cuz it automatically again loads it with the set order in the cookie. This bug was reported way back but seems that might take more time 2 get resolved

yup - .. sorry to say but i dont use data tables.. it is good in its looks but it will fail me in most of areas as it loads up all the data and thats a pain in the browser. That is 1 reason i avoided it always. If some1 manages to ajaxify the same - it is a great solution.. but then in that case - what is the difference between datatables and flexigrid :D just alter the css of flexigrid to make it look more like data tables :D

year, you are very very right! When so much data in table viewing page with datatables is awful thing. And of course, choosing datables this is just mater of look up...

And if do not use custom model for display many field from others table in differents columns makes even more pain, when for every value it require  request to DB :lol:
