Relation Question

My problem is this i have "$crud->set_relation(x,y,z);" from a table with 3k+ records. All is good but the time to save the data takes a bit of time more then usual .. is there any way to make it faster ? if i remove the relation is instant.

Usuaul meaning what... ?? with other tables or with this pirticular table only.

An insert dose not have to do anything with the relation. The relation set out here is to refer to master data from other tables like city_id to city name for display and sort offf... It is having no direct impact on inserts. 3k+ is not a big deal of records.. you may find difficulties in listing .. that is understood but in inserts... that is possibily because of the number indexes / constraints like foreign key and all ... that may be causing the issue with...

 

If you elaborate much on the scenario ..it might be helpfull..
