using jqGrid instead of flexigrid

Has anyone had any success with integrating jqGrid as the grid template (instead of using Flexigrid)? It supports resizable tables and a slew of other features. I'm surprised that no one has asked this question before in the forum. So maybe it's so easy to do, and I've just missed something?

If i edit list_template.php and replace the JS files, that should cover it, right?

I am in the process of making a theme about it but it is not as straight forward as I thought it would be...

Mainly the session and cookie data...!
