Well I think it is pretty obvious now that there is server side problem. Please contact with your server hosting provider and make sure that you have:
- PHP 5.2.4 or later (suggested PHP is 5.3.x)
- Remove the chmod string from the disable_functions at php.ini* file
- Make sure that everything works correctly or contact again with your hosting service provider and explain them the problem when you are trying to remove a file from the server.
